One Door. Every Resource.
Southern Black Hills.

Serving Hot Springs, Buffalo Gap, and Edgemont, South Dakota

How We Help

Bridging the Gap helps neighbors in need keep their homes safe and dignified, while connecting volunteers with opportunities to serve locally. We also provide a full network of local resources for additional hardships.

Safe and Dignified Housing

Many people gave their best years to this community — and now quietly need a hand keeping their homes safe and whole.

Bridging the Gap for Southern Hills Communities answers that need with volunteers who show up, roll up their sleeves, and make a difference — yard cleanup, home repairs, and more. When the need goes beyond the yard or the fence line, we connect people to other local resources.

Community Resource Hub

When people are struggling, they often don't know where to start. We exist to change that.

Bridging the Gap is a centralized resource center in Hot Springs, SD, where individuals and families from across the Southern Black Hills can walk in and get connected to the full network of nonprofit and community services in the region — housing, food assistance, financial help, and much more.

One office. Real answers. A clear next step.

Volunteers With Real Skills

The Southern Black Hills is full of people who want to help — they just need to know where to show up. Whether you have an afternoon to spare or a specific skill to offer, we match volunteers with local nonprofits and community projects that need exactly what you bring.

From community cleanup and home repairs to helping a family navigate hardship, there's a role for everyone and every expertise. Tell us what skills and interests you've got. We'll help you put it to work.
